problematic for women, particularly in our part of the world.
Fortunately for them, there are some options in geology as well, like
other office-confined jobs, where geologists can work in the office from
nine to five. They can choose to become a consultant or work in the
laboratory. Perhaps, this is a single limitation of this field where
office-related jobs are limited, but the advantages of choosing a career
in geology are many.
Geology also
allows professionals to continue with their learning experience besides
getting a sense of professional satisfaction. Geology is not about
reading few books in order to pass exams. Our learning process never
ends. One has to keep oneself updated with the latest technologies and
the ongoing developments in our field. And the biggest advantage of
being a geologist is that we always remain students and keep on learning
something new all the time.
