Working Environment

An architect mostly works in

Working Conditions
Having graduated from
engineering colleges or university, an architect has to work in a public
or private organization for two years. After two years of experience he
can start his private practice in Pakistan. The atmosphere of an
architect office is very clean and calm as well as well furnished. There
are ample opportunities in this profession not only in Pakistan but
abroad. Most of the architect prefers to start their own practice after
the initial compulsory two years service or set up a company with other
architect.

architect because it is a common observation that female has more

field.
Job opportunities
Having completed the
education of Architecture or Town Planning, architecture jobs
can easily be obtained as there are numerous opportunities. A new
comer has to work initially in private
or public sector for two years, after that they are allowed to start
their own practice. New architecture or town planners are posted in
grade 17 in government department if they manage to get job there. These
government organization include development authorities of Karachi,
Lahore, Hyderabad, Islamabad and other cities, WAPDA, NesPak, airport
Development Authorities, Public Works Department and Banks, besides that
one can get lectureship in an educational institution of Architecture.
Registration
It is necessary for a town
planner or architecture to get himself registered with Pakistan Council
of Architecture and Town Planner (PCATP). A registered architecture or
town planner can start his own practice or get a job any where in
Pakistan.
Unregistered Architecture
in Pakistan
Those who has not a degree
in Architecture but they are experienced and recognized in the market
because of their experience and skills, they can registered their name
with Pakistan Council of
Architecture and Town Planners (PCATP). These architectures called unregistered architecture and a
certificate to this effect is issued to him on which they can start
their own practice and get a job only in that city where they get
themselves registered.
